BUCKET WHEEL RECLAIMER ABSTRACT A bucket wheel reclaimer including a main frame that extends laterally across the end face of a storage pile of coal, ore, or the like, tracks extending longitudinally along opposite sides of the pile, and power driven trucks at opposite ends of the frame for advancing same. The main frame includes a pair of sides retained in spaced relationship by a box-like truss. Rails are secured to one surface of the sides, and a traversing carriage is suspended therebelow; a reversing motor drives the carriage back and forth. A bucket wheel of modular construction is rotatably mounted on the carriage and encircles the main frame; drive motors and belts for rotating the bucket wheel are secured upon the traversing carriage. Stabilizers maintain the rotational movement of the bucket wheel relative to the traversing carriage in a fixed path, while guide rollers prevent swaying of the traversing carriage during its lateral movement along the main frame. A harrow is operatively associated with the bucket wheel.
