ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A buckle assembly composed of three components, i.e. a socket, a main plug and an auxiliary plug for releasably connecting three straps or belts. The socket includes a cantilevered resilient locking arm interlockingly engageable with a resilient locking tongue of the main plug when the locking tongue is received in a guide chamber in the socket to thereby couple the socket and the main plug. The auxiliary plug is slidably mounted on the main plug and having two resilient, inwardly deformable locking legs snappingly engageable with respective retaining projections of the socket when the locking legs are received in the guide chamber. The auxiliary plug further includes a resilient releasing leg extending parallel to the locking legs and having a releasing cam projection engageable with the resilient locking arm to flex the latter outwardly away from the guide chamber for releasing the locking arm from interlocking engagement with the locking tongue, thereby uncoupling the main plug and the socket.
