TITLE OF THE INVENTION: BUFFER SYSTEM FOR FASTENER DRIVING DEVICES ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: The present buffer system for a fastener driving device includes two cooperating buffer elements located at the bottom of the driving cylinder. A first buffer element of hard elastic material rests on the inwardly facing surface of the cylinder bottom in such a manner that at least a portion of the sur- face of the first buffer element contacting the bottom is movable relative to the bottom of the driving cylinder. A second buffer element made of an elastic material softer than the hard elastic ma- terial of the first buffer element, rests on the first buffer element. -1-
