This is an apparatus for keeping crawling insects out of hanging plants and bird feeders such as hummingbird feeders. This apparatus consists of a vessel with a centre post. The centre post is hollow to enable a wire to slide snugly through it. It is suspended longitudinally from a hanger. The articles to be protected will be attached to the wire at the bottom of the vessel. The vessel is then filled with water or anything else to repel the insects. The vessel can be of any liquid proof material such as plastic as can the centre post. The centre post can either be moulded into the vessel or be a bolt with a hole through it to accept the aforementioned suspender wire. This bolt will be installed through a hole in the bottom of the vessel. A nut is then tightened on the bolt with sealant to insure there is no leakage of fluid. As a result, the insects cannot crawl from the centre post to the edge of the vessel due to the liquid present in the vessel, the plants and feeders are protected from them.
