ROGERS, BERESKIN & PARR TITLE: BUILDING BRICK AND METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MORTARING ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A self aligning building brick having ridges in one major contact face and a corresponding recessed area in the other major contact face so that when simi- lar bricks are engaged one atop the other, they will interlock leaving a horizontal space between them for mortar. Each brick also has a central vertical hole and vertical end recesses so that when a wall is formed from the bricks, the wall can be mortared by inserting a wand containing two or more prongs down adjacent holes and them pumping mortar containing a plasticizer into the holes at a pressure high enough to fill all the spaces and low enough to prevent the mortar from blowing past the end faces of the bricks. Tie rods can also be placed to extend through the vertical elongated holes of the structure.
