A building element comprises a topless and bottomless box, preferably manufactured in two halves (52) which are joined together about the vertical diagonal. The top or bot- tom of the box includes a channel formation (54) which engages the periphery of an ad- jacent element when stacked therewith. The elements may be stacked to overlap two sim- ilar elements located below it and once elec- trical, water and other service conduits have been placed in position, a concrete mixture or mud or the like is used to fill the boxes. This results in a sturdy structure that is inex- pensive and which requires no maintenance or finishing.

Un élément de construction selon l'invention est constitué d'une boîte sans fond ni dessus fabriquée en deux moitiés (52) assemblées sur la diagonale verticale. Le dessus ou le dessous de la boîte présente une rainure (54) dans laquelle s'emboîte le rebord d'un élément adjacent superposé. Les éléments peuvent être empilés de manière à recouvrir deux éléments similaires situés au-dessous, et, une fois les conduits électriques et les conduites d'eau posés et d'autres branchements réalisés, un mélange de béton, de boue ou l'équivalent est utilisé pour remplir les boîtes, ce qui permet d'obtenir une structure solide économique ne nécessitant ni entretien ni finition.
