ABSTRACT An insulated hockey rink having an ice surface covered by a building with walls and a roof. Both the walls and roof are covered on the inside with a flexible insulating material having a central section composed of one or more layers of air-bubble cushioning material. A layer of aluminum foil is extruded onto each side of the central section. The insulating material has the ability to withstand, with little or no damage, the impact of a hockey puck shot off the ice. The invention also covers a method of installing the insulation.
