BUILDING INSULATION PRODUCTS ABSTRACT Lightweight building insulation products suitable for application by blowing in or spraying are provided. The products comprise a fibrous wood pulp having smooth fibers, for example chemical-thermal-mechanical pulp, and a filler which is also, at least in part, a fibrous material. A bonding agent is added during the manufacturing process and the product is admixed with water before application so that bonding occurs after placement. The product's density is preferably in the 15-45 kg/cu.m. range. A fire retarding agent is an optional component of the products which may be used as a thermal as well as acoustic insulation.
