-8- A kit of parts for constructing a building, a building constructed therefrom and a method of constructing a building employ first panels for forming floors and ceilings, the first panels being rectangular and having, at opposite ends thereof, projecting connectors which are frusto-conical and taper towards adjacent end edges of the first panels. Second panels for forming walls between the first panels are rectangular and have, at opposite ends thereof, semi-frusto-conical recesses in their end edges. Beams for connecting the first and second panels have semi-frusto-conical recesses in longitudinal edges of the beams. The semi-frusto- conical recesses in the second panels and the beams are dimensioned and located for receiving the frusto-conical connectors on the first panels, whereby the panels and beams are urged together by a wedging action of the connectors in the recesses.
