- 13 - ABSTRACT The prefabricated building panel (16) with a castable hardenable mass (22) is used for production of lightweight partition walls or exterior wall linings. A core (10) of a lightweight heat and/or sound insulating material is surrounded on all sides by the cast hardenable mass (22). For better sound insulation, a peripheral channel (30, 32) is formed approximately in the centre of the narrow sides, which separates the hardenable mass (22) and forms two supporting shells (22a, 22b). A device for the production of the rectangular building panels (16) concerned, comprising a profile frame forming the narrow sides with two short legs (34, 36) mounted to swivel on a long leg (34 or 36) and another long leg (36 or 34) mounted to be releasable. The building panel (16) offers decisive advantages in particular with regard to its weight, its heat and/or sound insulation and the restriction of crack formations. (Fig. 6, 7)
