A building product having thermal energy storage properties in the form of a cementitious hollow core building block having a hollow core or cores and having within the hollow core(s) a composite containing a phase change material. The composite may be a cementitious plug sized to fit the hollow core(s) and having a phase change material imbibed into the pores and matrix thereof or having polyolefin pellets containing a phase change material or silica particles containing a phase change material incorporated at the wet mix stage of formation of the cementitious plug. The composite may also be a polyolefin plug sized to fit hollow core(s) and having a phase change material contained within the matrix thereof. Finally the composite may be polyolefin pellets containing a phase change material or silica particles containing a phase change material packed in a container sized to fit the hollow core(s).
Produit de construction qui possède des propriétés de stockage d'énergie thermique, sous forme d'un bloc de construction de type ciment à une ou plusieurs parties centrales creuses, et qui comporte dans lesdites parties centrales creuses un composite contenant un matériau à changement de phase. Ledit composite peut être un cube de type ciment dont les dimensions sont adaptées pour qu'il puisse être introduit dans les parties creuses. Il possède un matériau à changement de phase imbibé dans ses pores et dans sa matrice ou possède des pastilles de polyoléfine contenant un matériau à changement de phase ou des particules de silice contenant un matériau à changement de phase introduit à un stade de mélange humide de la formation du cube de type ciment. Ledit composite peut également être un cube de polyoléfine dont les dimensions sont adaptées pour qu'il puisse être introduit dans les parties creuses et contenant dans sa matrice un matériau à changement de phase. Finalement, ledit composite peut être constitué de pastilles de polyoléfine contenant un matériau à changement de phase ou des particules de silice contenant un matériau à changement de phase entassées dans un récipient dont les dimensions sont adaptées pour qu'il puisse être introduit dans les parties creuses.
