ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An aquarium comprising a housing for keeping live water animals and water plants, a filter tank fastened inside said housing at one side, said filter tank comprising a dirty water chamber for receiving water from said housing, a filtration chamber at the middle separated from said dirty water chamber and a clean water chamber at an opposite end for receiving water from said filtration chamber, and a pipe assembly controlled to guide water from said dirty water chamber to said filtration chamber or to discharge water out of said filtration chamber. Said filter tank has a water pump for pumping water from said clean water chamber to said housing permitting the water contained in said housing to be induced to circulate through said filtration chamber for filtration through a filter bed.
