BULB SOCKET FOR WEDGE BASE BULBS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: A bulb socket for wedge base bulbs has installed within a bulb-receiving port formed therein terminals each having a pair of facing holder contacts for holding the base of a bulb, thereby establishing electrical contact. The contact-hold portions of the facing holder contacts are bent such that they project inwardly at a certain position along the length thereof and that they then curve away from each other towards the tips thereof. Upright walls of L-shaped cross-section for guiding between the facing holder contacts the base of a bulb to be inserted are formed off to the rear of the holder contacts in such a manner as to project up- wardly above the tip portions of the holder contacts. The tip portions are caused to extend to a position beyond a bulb insertion path where it narrows by virtue of the upright walls.
