This invention relates to explosives. More particularly it relates to a method of blasting and to a mobile manufacturing unit loading station suitable for use in the method. It also relates to a method of constructing a mobile manufacturing unit loading station. The method includes the steps of transporting the constituents of an explosive separately in preloaded bulk storage containers to a mobile manufacturing unit loading station positioned at or in close proximity to a blasting site; loading the constituents into separate compartments of the mobile manufacturing unit with at least one of the constituents being loaded into the associated compartment under the influence of gravity; and mixing the constituents and using the explosive so formed at the blast site. An improved blasting method with increased safety is achieved.

Plus précisément, elle concerne une méthode de dynamitage et un poste mobile de confection et de mise en place d'explosifs adapté à l'exécution de la méthode préconisée. Elle concerne également une méthode de fabrication du poste mobile susmentionné. La méthode de dynamitage comprend les étapes suivantes : transport à pied d'oeuvre des différents composants de l'explosif dans des contenants de stockage en vrac séparés; chargement des composants dans des compartiments séparés du poste mobile placé à proximité du site de dynamitage ou sur le site lui-même, au moins un des composants étant chargé dans son compartiment par gravité; mélange des composants et mise en place et mise à feu de l'explosif sur le site de dynamitage. L'invention permet un dynamitage amélioré et plus sécuritaire.
