ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Bulk-material unloading unit for ships and other carriers has a travelling gantry, a pivotable boom extending from the gantry along which a removing conveyor belt runs, a C-shaped frame pivoting on a vertical axis at the end of the boom, a bucket wheel on the lower end of the C-frame, and a vertical C- conveyor carrying material from the discharge of the bucket wheel to an ejection location on the removing conveyor belt adjacent the vertical pivot axis of the C-frame.
