A process of making carbon nanotubes comprising the steps of: providing a precursor composition comprising at least one metallic compound and at least one organic compound; wherein the organic compound is selected from the group consisting of an ethynyl compound, a metal-ethynyl complex, and combinations thereof; wherein the precursor composition is a liquid or solid at room temperature; and heating the precursor composition under conditions effective to produce carbon nanotubes. A carbon nanotube composition comprising carbon nanotubes and a metal component selected from the group consisting of metal nanoparticles and elemental metal; wherein the carbon nanotube composition is rigid.
L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication de nanotubes de carbone comprenant les étapes suivantes : préparation d'une composition précurseur comprenant au moins un composé métallique et au moins un composé organique, le composé organique étant choisi dans le groupe comprenant un composé éthynyle, un complexe métal-éthynyle, et des combinaisons de ces produits, la composition précurseur étant liquide ou solide à température ambiante ; et chauffage de la composition précurseur dans des conditions efficaces pour produire des nanotubes de carbone. L'invention concerne en outre une composition de nanotubes de carbone comprenant des nanotubes de carbone et un composant métallique choisi dans le groupe comprenant des nanoparticules de métal et un métal élémentaire, la composition de nanotubes de carbone étant rigide.
