ABSTRACT A bulldozer and backhoe locking device for preventing the theft of heavy equipment having hydraulic piston and cylinder assemblies by holding an Implement thereof In an extended position and comprising a cylindrical sleeve of a length to fit the piston rod of the piston and cylinder assembly in its extended position, the cylindrical sleeve consisting of a pair of sleeve halves having oppositely disposed longitudinally extending meeting edges, half circular portions and an annular flange on one end of the sleeve halves of a diameter greater than the diameter of the cylinder of the piston and cylinder assembly, the sleeve halves being hinged together and having means for locking the sleeve halves together. -2-
