A bullet trap with a passageway (13) defined between flat upper and lower boundary walls (13a, 13b) extending convergingly, at opposite angles of inclination of between 0° and about 15° to the horizontal, from an entrance opening (13c) to an exit opening or throat (13d), and a deceleration chamber (15) having a circumferential boundary wall of generally spiral configuration and provided in its upper region with an inlet opening (15b) and in its lower region with a discharge opening (15a) leading to a collecting vessel (17). The circumferential boundary wall of the chamber is constituted by two oppositely concave channel-shaped members (23, 24) the respective upper end regions (23b, 24a) of which are spaced from each other to define the inlet opening, and the respective lower end regions (23a, 24b) of which are spaced from each other to define the discharge opening. Bullets fired into the passageway enter the chamber at its upper region substantially tangentially of the chamber via the directly adjacent throat and inlet opening.
Piège à balles muni d'un passage (13) délimité entre des parois supérieure et inférieure planes et convergentes (13a, 13b), qui présentent des angles d'inclinaison opposés compris entre 0~ et environ 15~ par rapport à l'horizontale, ce passage s'étendant d'uneouverture d'entrée (13c) à une ouverture ou col de sortie (13d). ce piège à balles comprend également une chambre de ralentissement (15) présentant une paroi circonférentielle de configuration généralement hélicoïdale et dont la partie supérieure est dotée d'une ouverture d'admission (15b) et la partie inférieure d'une ouverture d'évacuation (15a) conduisant vers une cuve de collecte (17). La paroi circonférentielle délimitant la chambre est constituée de deux profilés (23, 24) concaves, se faisant face, dont les extrémités supérieures respectives (23b, 24a) sont espacées l'une de l'autre pour définir l'ouverture d'admission, et dont les extrémités inférieures respectives (23a, 24b) sont espacées l'une de l'autre por définir l'ouverture d'évacuation. Des balles tirées dans le passage pénètrent dans la chambre au niveau de sa partie supérieure, pratiquement à une tangente par rapport à la chambre, et en passant par le col et l'ouverture d'admission immédiatement adjacents.
