A voice system bulletin board provides flexible messaging capabilities. A first party subscribes to the service and has one or more voice or multimedia bulletin boards at their disposal. The subscriber can leave a message in the bulletin board at any time. A user can then access a given board at any time. A user can then access a given bulletin board only if the subscriber has given them the access code. This method provides an efficient alternative to broadcasting messages.
