A cask made of plastic comprises a casing, a base, and a unitary cover formed with bungholes. The cover has a central, trough-like depression which, when the cask is upended or approximately upended, forms a slight curvature sloping down to the bungholes. The cover has an outer ring acting as a supporting, carrying and roller ring which protrudes above the bunghole walls in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the cask.
