ABSTRACT This invention provides an apparatus for bungy jumping comprising a tower with a platform near its upper end retraction means attached to the platform with an inelastic cable retained thereon, the inelastic cable having a free end; and, an elastic cable attached to the free end of the inelastic cable. This invention also provides an apparatus comprising a tower with the platform near its upper end; a guide pulley attached to the platform adjacent in edge thereof; an inelastic cable supported on said guide pulley, the inelastic cable having a free end and a fixed end; and, an elastic cable that is connected to the fixed end of the inelastic cable and which anchors the inelastic cable. The apparatus of this invention may be erected or disassembled and permits the sport to be carried out at any desired location.
