179 P/16 ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE BOUYANT COVERS FOR SWIMMING POOLS A cover for buoyant support at the surfaCe of a swimming pool comprises a self supporting plastic film having open mouthed pockets raised on one side of the film. In use the cover locates on the surface of the swimming pool with the mouths downwardly facing so as to trap air in the pockets to provide a buoyant support for the cover. Covers constructed in accordance with the invention have a greater durability than covers of a laminated type having air trapped between the laminae to provide buoyancy.
