A burner designed to heat a filtration cartridge (5) for exhaust gases from an engine until oxidation and/or combustion of the solid particles trapped in the cartridge, including a burner body (2) presenting a closed extremity and, on the side opposite this closed extremity, an exhaust opening for said gases, characterised in that it includes: - at least an adduction pipe (7) of a mix of fuel and oxidiser opening into the burner body (2) tangentially to the burner body (2), in such a way as to cause the mixture to swirl around within the burner; - an electric means of igniting (8) said mixture positioned inside the burner body (2); - an obturator element (3, 18) blocking the burner body (2), to limit the turbulence of the exhaust gases in the volume of the burner body (2), restricted by said obturator element (3, 18).
Brûleur destiné à chauffer une cartouche de filtration (5) des gaz d'échappement d'un moteur jusqu'à oxydation et/ou combustion des particules solides piégées dans la cartouche, comprenant un corps de brûleur (2) présentant une extrémité fermée et, du côté opposé à cette extrémité fermée, une ouverture d'évacuation desdits gaz; caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend : - au moins un conduit (7) d'adduction d'un mélange de combustible et de comburant débouchant dans le corps de brûleur (2) tangentiellement au corps de brûleur (2), de manière à pouvoir faire tourbillonner le mélange dans le brûleur; - un moyen électrique d'allumage (8) dudit mélange positionné au sein du corps de brûleur (2); - un élément obturateur (3, 18) obstruant le corps de brûleur (2), pour limiter les turbulences des gaz d'échappement dans le volume du corps de brûleur (2) délimité par ledit élément obturateur (3, 18).
