A burner for introducing liquid fuel into a combustion chamber is provided, the burner having a nozzle defining a downstream outlet port and a mixing chamber immediately therebefore. A first and second plurality of inlet ports is arranged to introduce first and second flows, which intersect one another in the mixing chamber to form a fuel-air mixture. The mixing chamber is generally cylindrical in shape.
