BURNER HEADS FOR FLARE STACKS ABSTRACT A burner head for flare stacks for the combustion of waste gas from refineries and chemical processes is described which includes at the top of a flare stack a plurality of radial gas delivery vanes extending from a waste gas supply pipe and provided with inclined slotted discharge nozzles, each of the vanes having additional shorter gas delivery vanes connected to the radial arms at their outer ends and on each side with inclined slotted discharge nozzles for better distribution of air for combustion with respect to the gas delivered from the nozzles. The arrangement of the arms also per- mits of the use of a single pilot and igniter interiorly of the arms for effecting ignition of the gas/air mix- ture.
