A composition comprising a high molecular weight, water soluble polymer having a cloud point from about 20 to about 90~ C and at least one carrageenan is provided. The composition may be used as a component of a pharmaceutical dosage form, such as the shell of a dosage form, to provide burst release of active ingredient contained therein.
L'invention concerne une composition présentant un polymère hydrosoluble à poids moléculaire élevé possédant un point de trouble compris entre environ 20 et environ 90° C et au moins un carraghénine. Cette composition peut être utilisée en tant que composant d'une forme posologique pharmaceutique, tel que la coquille d'une forme posologique, afin d'obtenir la libération en rafales du principe actif contenu dans ledit composant.
