Business forms having labels integral therewith are produced by applying a strip of transfer tape to only a portion of a second face of a sheet of the business form so that sheet material surrounds the transfer tape strip. A label is die cut from the first face within the area overlying the transfer tape strip without cutting the transfer tape backing. A coating is applied to a portion of the first face in an area including the label, and indicia is printed or bar coded thereon. The label may be removed, with the adhesive from the transfer tape sticking to the label while the backing of the transfer tape remains in place. The strip of transfer tape is cut from a web and transported with the adhesive face outward by a vacuum cylinder until it contacts a moving web. The web is formed into individual or continuous business forms, which may be multi-ply.
L'invention porte sur des formulaires commerciaux comportant des étiquettes intégrées à leurs feuillets (et non montés en cavaliers) obtenus par application d'une bande de ruban de transfert sur une partie seulement du verso d'un feuillet, l'adhésif du ruban de transfert étant en contact avec le feuillet de manière à ce que la matière en feuille entoure entièrement la bande du ruban de transfert. L'étiquette est découpée à l'emporte-pièce dans la première face du feuillet de préférence après application du ruban de transfert, dans la zone du feuillet recouvrant la bande du ruban de transfert, sans couper le substrat de la bande de transfert. Une couche de moins de 2,0 g/m2 est appliquée dans une partie de la première face de la feuille, dans une zone comprenant l'étiquette. Le revêtement consiste en une composition comportant en poids sec environ 50 à environ 90 parties de silice particulaire, et environ 10 à environ 50 parties d'alcool polyvinylique. Une marque ou un code-barres peuvent être imprimés en un endroit du recto de la feuille. L'étiquette peut facilement s'enlever, l'adhésif du ruban de transfert collant à l'étiquette, et le substrat du ruban de transfert restant en place. La bande du ruban de transfert est découpée dans une feuille, puis transportée, face adhésive vers l'extérieur par un cylindre à vide, jusqu'à ce qu'elle entre en contact avec la feuille qui avance. Ladite feuille est finalement découpée en formulaires commerciaux individuels ou continus comportant éventuellement plusieurs feuillets.
