A button cover for removable placement onto a button of a garment comprises a front wall portion having a front-facing surface and a back-facing surface, and a back wall portion having a front-facing surface and a back-facing surface. A peripheral wall portion connects the front wall portion and the back wall portion one to the other other, in spaced apart relation, so as to form a button-receiving cavity between the front wall portion and the back wall portion. A spring clip is mounted on the button cover so as to be moveable between a rest configuration and an in-use configuration whereat at least a portion of the spring clip is disposed closer to the front wall portion than in the rest configuration. The spring clip biases a button disposed between the front wall portion and the back wall portion towards the front-facing surface of the back wall portion.
