Smoke alarms ( detectors ) have been neglected or improperly used causing many deaths . Smoke alarms using a delay button ( test, silence ) work great except a chair or stick like object may be needed to reach the delay button . This invention would use a wireless button similar to a door bell to delay or temporary mute the smoke alarm . ( a thin wire may be used in place of wireless function.) . The remote button could use double sided tape or a screw to be mounted almost anywhere near your smoke alarm to customize your needs. This invention would reduce the stress of having a noisy alarm running while your hands are full dealing with whatever is causing the smoke .
