PI/S-18747/A Butyric acid amides Abstract Compounds of the formula Image (I), wherein A is an unsubstituted or substituted, aromatic or non-aromatic, mono- or bi-cyclic, nitrogen-containing heterocyclic radical that is bonded via a ring nitrogen atom, or is a group -OR4, -N(R4)R5, -N(R5)COR4, -N(R5)COOR4, -N(R5)CON(R4)R6 or -N(R5)CSN(R4)R6; R1 is hydrogen, C1-C6alkyl, C1-C6haloalkyl or benzyl; each of R2 and R3, independently of the other, is hydrogen or C1-C4alkyl; R4 is hydrogen, an unsubstituted or substituted C1- C20alkyl, C3-C10alkenyl, C3-C10- alkynyl, C3-C7cycloalkyl or aryl group or an unsubstituted or substituted, aromatic or non-aromatic, mono- or bi-cyclic heterocyclic radical that is bonded via a ring carbon atom; and each of R5 and R6, independently of the other, is hydrogen, C1-C6alkyl or phenyl, in free form or in salt form, can be used as agrochemical active ingredients and can be prepared in a manner known per se.
