Bypass valve for use in wellbores, particularly during the setting of hydraulic anchor packers, a bypass valve is provided with a body (4) incorporating a wall provided with at least one opening (20) and a piston (30) slidably mounted and having a longitudinal bore extending therethrough. The piston (30) is movable between a first position, in which the bore of the piston (30) is substantially isolated from the exterior of the body (4), and a second position in which a passage is provided from the bore of the piston (30) to the exterior of the body (4). Constraining means (42, 52) prevent movement of the piston (30) from the first to the second position. Overriding means are provided to permit movement to the second position.

L'invention concerne une vanne de dérivation à utiliser dans des puits de forage, notamment pendant l'installation de garnitures d'ancrage. Ladite vanne de dérivation est constituée d'un corps (4) comprenant une paroi dotée d'au moins une ouverture (20) et d'un piston (30) monté coulissant et possédant un orifice longitudinal traversant. Ledit piston (30) est mobile entre une première position dans laquelle l'orifice du piston (30) est sensiblement isolé de l'extérieur du corps (4), et une seconde position dans laquelle un passage est formé de l'orifice du piston (30) jusqu'à l'extérieur du corps (4). Des moyens de retenue (42, 52) empêchent le mouvement du piston (30) de la première à la seconde position. Des moyens de déblocage permettent le déplacement vers la seconde position.
