ABSTRACT A cableway cabin especially for a gondola lift has an oval shape as well in a cross section taken along a vertical plane as in a cross section taken along an horizontal plane. The great axes of these ovals are respectivelly vertical and perpendicular to the lateral sides of the cabin. The cabin permits access of the skiers with their skis in a upright position. The skis can be maintained by openings provided in the floor for receiving the ski heels and eight seats are disposed along the cabin wall.
