The present invention comprises a dish-shaped cabinet skate (20) made of an ultra high molecular weight polyethylene, which is applied to furniture feet (10). The skate (20) is adapted to be affixed in a permanent or semi-permanent manner on standard office furniture feet (10). The skate (20) has an inherently low coefficient of friction with respect to conventional carpeting, thus allowing easy sliding. The skate (20) is shaped to include large radius bends at the edges and a slight crowning (32) of the bottom surface to further reduce resistance to sliding.

Patin en forme d'assiette (20) constitué de polyéthylène de poids moléculaire ultra-élevé et utilisé sous les pieds (10) d'un meuble. Ce patin (20) est adapté pour se fixer de manière permanente ou semi-permanente aux pieds (10) d'un meuble de bureau classique, et il présente de manière inhérente un faible coefficient de friction au contact d'une moquette traditionnelle, ce qui lui permet de glisser facilement sur celle-ci. Les bords dudit patin (20) présentent des courbures à grand rayon, tandis que sa face inférieure est légèrement bombée (32) afin de réduire davantage la résistance au glissement.
