A surgical cable and crimp device is provided. The cable has an enlargement (bead) affixed to one of its ends. The crimp member includes two holes. One of the holes includes a slot and a cavity. The cavity is sized to accept the bead of the cable, and the slot is sized to receive the flexible cable, but not allow the bead to pass through. The other hole is a simple through hole. The cable can be inserted to loop the bone isolated from the crimp member. After the beaded end of the surgical cable is fastened to the crimp, the cable is passed through the simple through hole. The cable is then tensioned by the application thereto of a tensioning tool with the tool applied to the cable and to an abutment face of the crimp member.
L'invention concerne un ensemble câble et élément de sertissage chirurgical. Le câble comprend une partie élargie (bille) fixée à une de ses extrémités. L'élément de sertissage comporte deux orifices. Un de ces orifices est pourvu d'une fente et d'une cavité. La cavité est conçue pour accepter la bille du câble et la fente est conçue pour recevoir le câble flexible, mais pour empêcher la bille de passer. L'autre orifice est un orifice traversant simple. Le câble peut être inséré de manière à faire le tour de l'os isolé par rapport à l'élément de sertissage. Une fois que l'extrémité du câble comportant la bille est fixée à l'élément de sertissage, on fait passer le câble par l'orifice traversant simple. Le câble est ensuite tendu à l'aide d'un instrument de serrage, l'instrument étant en contact avec le câble et une surface de butée de l'élément de sertissage.
