01871-254 ABSTRACT A connector assembly for connecting a cable to an externally threaded port protruding beyond an abutment surface. The assembly comprises: a tabular connector body; a sleeve for attaching the connector body to the cable and an internally threaded female connector element rotatably carried on the connector body. The female connector element is threadable onto the end of the port and has an end thereof axially spaced from the abutment surface by a segment of the port. A resiliently deformable tubular sealing element is also provided which has a first portion tightly encircling the port segment and a second portion tightly encircling the connector element. The first portion is axially compressed between the abutment surface and the end of the connector element.
