The invention relates to a water-blocked cable with improved fire protection properties. Said cable comprises a first composite material (2) including a first substance (21), capable of swelling when supplied with water, and a second substance (22), expandable when supplied with heat and suitable to produce a glass layer. The composite material (2) also comprises a substrate (31-33) to which the first substance (21) and the second substance (22) are bound. The composite material (2) is producible by dissolving the first substance (21) and the second substance (22) in a solvent (33) and introducing the solution to the support material (31) or applying it to the support material (31).
L'invention concerne un câble à étanchéité longitudinale présentant des propriétés ignifuges améliorées. Ce câble contient un matériau composite (2) comprenant une première substance (21) qui peut gonfler par apport d'eau et une seconde substance (22) qui peut être expansée par apport de chaleur et qui est adaptée pour former une couche de verre. Ce matériau composite (2) comprend par ailleurs un substrat (31-33) auquel la première substance (21) et la seconde substance (22) sont reliées. Ledit matériau composite (2) peut être produit par un procédé consistant à dissoudre la première substance (21) et la seconde substance (22) dans un solvant (33) et à introduire la solution dans le matériau support (31) ou à placer la solution sur le matériau support (31).
