A cable installation and lubrication apparatus including a funnel, a horn, and a trap positioned between the funnel and the horn is disclosed. The trap is a rubber sheet and includes an opening and a plurality of slats extending from the opening. A cable is inserted into the apparatus and a lubricant is added to the horn. The lubricant is retained by the trap and uniformly covers the cable as the cable is installed within the conduit.
