The present cable lock apparatus and method, including a cable having a first end terminated with a shackle, and a lock body providin a throughway to receive the cable in sliding relation such that the lock body may be selectively positioned along the length of the cable. The shackle portion is received within the lock body, and is removable therefrom. A first plunger grip assembly is used to receive the shackle portion and the cable length in a sliding relationship. The first plunger is depressed to a release state, allowing the cable to slid through the lock body, and is released to a grip state. The method of securing an item with the present lock apparatus broadly includes passing the cable through the lock, advancing the lock body along the cable, forming a loop around the item, and securing the first end of the cable to the lock body.
L'invention a trait à un appareil cadenas, qui comprend un câble allongé possédant une partie arceau sur une première extrémité, et un corps de cadenas doté d'un passage dimensionné de façon à recevoir le câble de manière coulissante, si bien que le corps de cadenas peut être placé sur la longueur du câble. Le corps de cadenas possède également une ouverture d'arceau venant en prise avec la partie arceau. Le corps de cadenas est doté d'un ensemble loquet, qui bloque la partie arceau. Un ensemble de verrouillage verrouille ensuite l'élément loquet à l'état bloqué, et se déverrouille pour le débloquer. Le corps de cadenas peut posséder un ensemble de prise, qui fixe de manière libérable le corps de cadenas et le câble dans la position sélectionnée. La seconde partie d'extrémité du câble peut être dotée d'une tête d'arrêt, qui se présente par exemple sous la forme d'une boucle du câble. L'invention concerne également un procédé permettant de sécuriser un objet à l'aide de l'appareil cadenas selon l'invention.
