A steerable head 11 is described for guiding a pusher rod through ducting. The pusher rod 10 is then used for drawing cables, wires, lines or pipes through the ducting. The steerable head 11 includes remotely operable mechanisms for steering the rod 10 through junctions or around obstacles in the ducting. In a further refinement, the steerable head 11 is provided with a coupling means 36 adapted to co-operate with a corresponding coupling means 26 mounted on a second rod, thereby allowing the pushing of rods through longer or more obstructed ducts.
La présente invention concerne une tête orientable (11) permettant de guider une tige de poussée (10) à travers une gaine. La tige de poussée (10) est ensuite utilisée pour tirer des câbles, des fils, des lignes ou des conduites à travers la gaine. La tête orientable (11) comporte des mécanismes opérables à distance pour orienter la tige (10) à travers des jonctions ou contourner des obstacles dans la gaine. Dans une version améliorée, la tête orientable (11) est munie dun moyen de couplage (36) apte à coopérer avec un moyen de couplage correspondant (26) monté sur une seconde tige, permettant ainsi la poussée des tiges à travers des gaines plus longs et comportant un plus grand nombre dobstructions.
