CABLE REPAIR VULCANIZING PRESS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A cable repair vulcanizing press comprises a split mould heated by an induction heater. The induction heater includes a multi-leg core for creating an alternating magnetic flux and transmitting it to the split mould whose separating line lies in the plane of the magnetic flux in the core legs. The vulcanizing press is provided with an interlocking device for switching off the vulcanizing press from the power source in case the magnetic circuit is partially or completely opened, i.e. the split mould is either not mounted on the core or mounted inexactly. According to the invention the vulcanizing press is characterized by small mass per unit length of the cable to be repaired, high heat efficiency and reliability, non-contact transmission of power, which provides for explosion proofness.
