ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An improved sealing element for a cable entrance socket of a cable sleeve characterized by the element being a liner element of a thermoplastic, cross-linked material having a shape memory and being shrinkable to a previous shape when subjected to a shrinking process. The liner element may be either a solid member or a cup-shaped hollow member and may have two or more axially extending, outwardly opening recesses for receiving cables.
