ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides a suspension system including means defining a pair of laterally spaced apart primary supports. A cable is connected at and extends between such spaced supports and the connector means is scoured in embracing relation about the cable for supporting a load therefrom. This load, in use, creates forces tending to cause the connector means to slip along the cable. In accordance with the invention, the cable has metal sleeve means compressed thereon and disposed to contact the connector means so as to transmit the forces directly to the cable and prevent the slippage of the connector means along the cable.
