ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A metal cable terminal comprising a bush mounted and locked on the cable. The bush has an internal bore consisting of a cylindrical portion at one end of the bush, a flared portion at the opposite end of the bush, and a slightly conical portion extending between the cylindrical portion and the flared portion. The cable has strands which are unwound inside the bush. A self-tapping screw is screwed between these strands in a direction axial to the bush for a depth not exceeding that of the bush. The screw has a head flared to correspond substantially to the flaring of the flaring portion of the bore.
