CAD (computer-aided decision) support systems, methods and tools for medical imaging are provided, which use machine learning classification for automated detection and marking of regions of interest in medical images. Machine learning methods are used for adapting/optimizing a CAD process by seamlessly incorporating physician knowledge into the CAD process using training data that is obtained during routine use of the CAD system.

L'invention concerne des systèmes de support de décision assistée par ordinateur, des procédés et des outils d'imagerie médicale, qui font appel à la classification d'apprentissage machine pour la détection automatique et le repérage de zones d'intérêt dans des images médicales. Des méthodes d'apprentissage machine sont utilisées pour adapter/optimiser un processus de décision assistée par ordinateur, par intégration directe de connaissances du médecin dans le processus de décision assistée par ordinateur, à l'aide de données d'apprentissage, obtenues lors de l'utilisation courante dudit système de décision assistée par ordinateur.
