CALCINATION OF BASIC FERRIC SULPHATES ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A process is described for the calcination of basic ferric sulphates in which the formation of acidic mist is avoided. The novel procedure involves heating basic ferric sulphate in two stages, the first stage being conducted at a relatively low temperature range to effect dehydration and the second stage being conducted at a higher temperature range to decompose the product of the first stage.
