A crop, measure and scale system and a measure and scale system are provided for use in preparing an original image for processing The crop, measure, and scale system includes first and second corner members which define an adjustable image frame. Each corner member includes a pair of diverging arms, one arm being characterized as an abscissa arm and the other as an ordinate arm, each of which includes an internally facing edge. A calculating measure is mounted on one of the corner members, such calculating measure including a slide rule with a ruler which extends between opposite edges of the cropped image, and a slide which provides for calculation of a reduction/enlargement percentage based on a predetermined desired dimensional change. The measure and scale system includes the calculating measure described above joined to an elongate member.
