ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An arrangement for guiding the sliding movement of a disc brake caliper on a torque plate comprising axial pins secured in grooves provided at each end of the torque plate and received in grooves provided at each end of the caliper. The caliper grooves provide enough wrap with respect to the pins as to allow only sliding movement of the caliper on the pins so long as the pins are secured to the torque plate but, upon release of either pin from the torque plate, the caliper may be pivoted about the fulcrum provided by the other pin. The pins are secured to the torque plate by bolts which threadably engage transverse bores in the pins.
