My invention is an electronic device installed on a phone line (inside/outside the phone) for defining virtual phone numbers with less digits (e.g.; *1 or #42) which are forwarded to real phone numbers (e.g.;7 to 11 digits) through a switchboard whose phone number is pre-set in the device and is connected to if the dialled number starts with a special key (e.g.; # or *). It will also be used for callers' identity checking and/or access control to phone line through a removable hard coded ID and for adding buffer memory to the phone system.
