A method of serving a roaming subscriber in a telecommunication system having at least one wireless service carrier (4) that can communicate with the roaming subscriber (17). A wired exchange carrier (14) can communicate with the wireless service carrier and has access to a long distance trunk. A call destined for the roaming subscriber is received at the wired exchange carrier via the long distance trunk, and includes both a routing number corresponding to the roaming address of the roaming subscriber and a call routing parameter corresponding to the wireless service carrier. The call is selectively sent to the wireless service carrier in response to the call routing parameter, and a communication channel between the wireless service carrier and the roaming subscriber is then established in response to the routing number.
L'invention concerne un procédé pour desservir un abonné itinérant dans un système de télécommunications ayant au moins un prestataire de service sans fil (4) qui peut communiquer avec l'abonné itinérant (17). Un prestataire de service (14) à central câblé peut communiquer avec le prestataire de service sans fil et a accès à une ligne de réseau longue distance.
