ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In a CAT, when an interruption is caused by a call signal transmitted from a host computer, transmission from the CAT is inhibited. After an interruption occurs, a sampling operation is carried out for each predetermined time period, to detect the presence or absence of a pulse signal included in the call signal from the host computer. When the pulse signal is not detected in the predetermined time period or more, the transmission from the CAT is allowed again.
